English term or phrase: dower rights
I don't know how to translate this term into Spanish. It's a term that appears in divoce decrees but I don't kwow exactly what it refers to. Can you please tell me the translation in Spanish?? I think it's something related to the financial situation of a marriage, but I'm not sure.

Thanks a lot.
Carla

usufructo viudal (de la esposa supérstite)

Explanation:
This concept/expression does exist in Spanish. It is "usufructo viudal (de la esposa supérstite)". (It is not a "legítima", which is truly an inheritance, but rather a type of "usufructo" or life estate in part of the decedent's estate.
