English term or phrase: DISPOSITION
It is one of the items in a Certificate of Death. As 'methods of disposition', burial, cremation and donation are mentioned. The place of the 'disposition' is a crematory. The date of 'disposition' was entered 4 days after the death. The Certificate was issued by the Ohio Department of Health.

The term is the same in Spanish. You have to say LA DISPOSICIÓN, which is the only diference.
Good Luck!

disposición (del cuerpo)

I agree with the first answerer, it is "la disposición": fecha de disposición, lugar de disposición.
However, I would add "del cuerpo", "del difunto" o "del cadáver", so that it sounds a bit better.
Good luck,

Muy Estimado Amigo:

El término disposición sí existe en español. Solo que dentro de una Acta de Defunción, se puede usar disposición del cadáver, como decimos nosotros. Pero igualmente, dentro del Acta de Defunción, la palabra cambia. That means, we don't use "disposition" all the time. For example, we use, FORMA DE DISPOSICION DEL CADAVER? ó "METODOS DE DISPOSICION DEL CADAVER" but you use, LUGAR DEL ENTIERRO O INCINERACION" on the line for "place of the disposition". On the line for the date of disposition we have to clarify it as... "FECHA DEL ENTIERRO... INCINERACION O DONACION", but not FECHA DE DISPOSICION... (For that in Spanish, sounds pretty bad... disposición... kind of in Spanish... getting rid of. (Believe me... the certificates in Spanish include two options.... burial or cremation, that's why we use Fecha del entierro ó incineración, like I said before).
I've been translating hundreds of Certificates of Death, since I live right here at the border and because of all the bodies having to cross the border. They have to go through all these new rules and regulations and one of them is the translation of the certificates.

Hope this helps,

my experience and daily translation of these certificates
