English term or phrase: *attribution*
Context: I'm doing some research for a translation project and this term came across. I thought about using the equivalente "atribución" in Spanish. I read a reference article where the term appears but quite don't even get the meaning in the original. So, can you help with *attribution* in this context in order to get the right meaning?
Quotation from the reference text:

"References to expert sources in the academic domain
were analysed, specifically third person *attribution* (including third person pronouns, proper names, and a selection of nouns)"

atribución a la tercera persona / referencia a la tercera persona / representación de la tercera
Explanation:
persona

Pienso que puedes emplear atribución. Referencia sería también válido, pero habría repetición en la frase.
