English to Spanish translations [PRO] Livestock / Animal Husbandry / meat processing | | English term or phrase: breaking houses | A slaughter plant, which just carries out slaughtering processes and does not do any further processing, after slaughtering sells the cattle to "breaking houses", those in charge of breaking the carcass beef into pieces and doing further processing.
Any idea on how those "breaking houses" are called in Spanish? I can only think of "plantas de procesamiento" or something of the sort, but there may be an exact term.
Thanks!!!

| | See my answer below | Explanation: Here in Lexington Nebraska there is a huge Beef Processing Plant. In addition to other departments, they have a Slaughter Dept. and a Processing Dept.
Perhaps you can use something with proceso or procesamiento.
Planta de procesamiento de res or something like that. |
