English term or phrase: dietary indiscretion
Many factors may induce pancreatitis, including
Metabolic abnormalities (e.g., hyperlipidemia)
Nutritional abnormalities (e.g., diets containing >50% fat concurrent with low protein, dietary indiscretion)

Indiscriminación? ¿Existe algún término en español? En inglés: This is a veterinary term used when an animal eats something it shouldn't. With spring here, more people and pets are out and about, and dogs in particular tend to find lots of "yummy" things out in the yard or great outdoors. Why do dogs (and cats) eat the things they do? We may never know all the answers to this seemingly simple question. Probably because it smelled good, they were hungry, or just plain curious.
