Further, the ones who are adept at figural generalization could see through invariant properties, relations, or attributes visually, and they could explain the significance of y-intercepts and slopes as rates of change in concrete, tangible terms.

En la representación de una línea (sea recta o no) en un plano x-y, al eje horizontal (x) se le denomina EJE DE ABCISAS y al vertical (y) EJE DE ORDENADAS. La línea tiene, o puede tener, una o más puntos de corte o intersecciones con ambos ejes.
En cualquier punto de la línea hay una PENDIENTE, representada gráficamente por la pendiente de la recta tangente en ese punto y que se calcula con la primera derivada de la ecuación que la representa.
