The two most popular ways of measuring heat resistance in the range 60–135◦C are the end-point method and the multiple-point method. The endpoint method involves preparing a number of replicate containers containing
a known number of spores and heating them for successively longer times until no survivors are obtained by culturing each container.

Mi duda es acerca del término "end-point".lo he buscado y encuentro "terminal",pero no existe ningún método con ese nombre.

"Método de punto final 50%: Este tipo de análisis cuantitativo se basa en la estimación del número de respuestas positivas sobre el total de respuestas posibles, utilizando un cálculo estadístico que determina la cantidad de dosis infectantes contenidas en el inóculo. Las diluciones menores de virus contendrán más Dosis infectantes que las mayores y entre ellas habrá un gradiente de actividad. Se ha establecido determinar el 50 % de actividad y tomarla como Dosis infectante 50 %. El método mas comúnmente utilizado para la interpolación del Punto Final 50% es el Método de Reed y Muench"
