Estoy traduciendo el manual de funcionamiento de una máquina selladora de plástico. El original está escrito en un inglés que a veces resulta incomprensible (según tengo entendido, fue redactado en Taiwan).

Obviamente como dicen los colegas es un mamarracho lo que te pasaron, y suele suceder, los textos traducidos en Asia son horrendamente mal traducidos... el PET es una sustancia (un polimero) que se usa mucho en empaque (en forma de films) por sus propiedades...

PET: Polyester, (Polyethylene Terephtalate). Tough, temperature resistant polymer. Biaxially oriented PET film is used in laminates for packaging, where it provides strength, stiffness and temperature resistance. It is usually combined with other films for heat sealability and improved barrier properties.
