Explanation:
En realidad en inglés lo conozco con el orden inverso de palabras, "plumb level" o "plumb and level".

Se me ha ocurrido, leyendo el texto, dado que me ha llamado la atención el orden inverso de las palabras, que aquí "plumb" pueda ser en el sentido de "justo, exacto"... "Aguante su nivel justo en ese punto de/contra la pared...."... Bueno esto te lo comento simplemente como algo que me ha venido a la cabeza nada más.

Nivel con plomada//nivel combinado//nivel mixto//nivel dual


Explanation:
Un nivel (level) mide la horizontalidad.
Una plomada (plumb bob) mide la verticalidad.

Hay un tercer medidor que combina ambas características, es un nivel que tiene dos tubos curvos con un líquido coloreado. El primer tubo curvo mide la horizontalidad clásica y el segundo tubo, a 90 grados del primero, mide la verticalidad. La combinación es llamado nivel plomada, nivel combinado, nivel mixto o nivel dual, dependiendo del país que lo usa. He llegado a usar uno por lo que doy fé que existe.
