English to Spanish translations [PRO]

El contexto es el de un tambor de cribado (sorting drum) que se utiliza para clasificar por tamaño escombros de la construcción (building debris). |

"Muñón" es en realidad un punto de apoyo (como la cureña de los cañones o la base de una palanca de primer grado), pero tiene relieve. En este sentido, también podrías llamarlo "resalto".
En cuanto al concepto de "absorbing", supongo que lo que absorbe son los golpes de los escombros a medida que se separan y caen o golpean contra chapas colocadas a modo de tope, así que podría llamársele "amortiguador".
Si se tratara de absorción de líquidos —pues hay separadores de sólidos y líquidos—, entonces sería "absorbente" o "de absorción", pero no creo que se trate de eso.
