Any idea of what it means?????? It is at the end of a sentence. It says "Thanks to its feature of operating with low pressure water, it will not be affected by the low water pressure that occurs in the high apartment flats. 1mss" It is also from the water heater manual. Thanks a lot.

Explanation:
Costó, pero con la pista de Taña, pude descubrir lo que significa:

1 mss = 1 mSS = 1 metre su sütunu (http://www.desteknik.com.tr/index.php?option=com_content&tas...

donde, "metre" es "metro" (http://www.tureng.com/search/meter) (http://www.tureng.com/search/meter ) y "su sütunu" es "columna de agua" (http://www.tureng.com/search/water column).

En consecuencia, es una abreviatura turca por la presión ejercida en la base de una columna de agua, que usualmente se traduce al castellano como "mH2O" (con el "2" como subíndice).

He revisado la conversión (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centimetre_of_water) y todo cierra, pues:

1 bar = 10 mH2O = 10 mSS
0.1 bar = 1 mH2O = 1 mSS

Es decir que en lugar de "1 mH2O" también podrías usar "0.1 bar".

With the promulgation of more stringent regulations to guarantee that the drinking water presents minimal health risks, nanofiltration (NF) and low pressure reverse osmosis membrane (RO) processes are nowadays considered for surface water treatment. However, NF and RO spiral wound membranes are sensitive to fouling and an advanced pretreatment such as conventional train, microfiltration (MF) and ultrafiltration (UF) may be necessary to control productivity. Consequently, a study was undertaken to evaluate the efficiency of the combined processes, know as ***** Integrated Membrane Systems *******, for surface water treatment. Two IMS were evaluated on polluted low salinity water: UF and conventional train prior low fouling reverse-osmosis membranes (LFRO). The one-year study has revealed the efficiency of the IMSs for surface treatment. Both IMSs tested produced water quality that exceeded the most stringent water quality proposed in the new European Directives.
