English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Mechanics / Mech Engineering | | English term or phrase: today`s Formula 1 race cars require it in the auto body | me podrian ayudar con la sgte frase today`s Formula 1 race cars require it in the auto body de acuerdo al sgte contexto:
The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, dubbed “Boeing´s Plastic Dream Machine” by Business Week because of its extensive use of carbon fiber composites, has been one of the fastest-selling jets in commercial aviation history. Could composites- the stuff of tennis rackets, high-performance skis, and bicycles- have a similar impact on next generation car and light-truck design? Carbon fiber weighs just one fifth as much as steel it replaces, but it`s so strong that today`s Formula 1 race cars require it in the auto body.

Explanation: So that it's clear how broadly used composites are in current F1 cars I feel I need to point out how they are to be found not only in the bodywork (carrocería) but also the chassis/monocoque (monocasco) and the suspension's arms (brazos de las suspensiónes). I feel "auto body" being a very general term must encompass all of the above. Auto/coche varies depending on what country the translation is for, in Spain it's coche, in Argentina it would be auto. ¡Suerte!
