"This device consists of three functional areas: the clamp, the arm, and the headlink. The clamp is the device’s interface to the sternal retractor and attaches easily, intuitively and securely. The arm provides a link between the clamp and the headlink, which is flexible enough to allow desired device positioning, and stable enough (when actuated) to facilitate an anastomosis.
