Gracias por la aclaración, probablemente las otra respuestas sean más correctas aunque a mí lo más natural me sonaría Unidad de Enfermos Graves ya que la palabra "agudo" no siempre corresponde a "acute". Saludos.

Notes to answerer

Asker: Por lo que he visto, por lo menos en USA, muchos hospitales tienen Intensive Care Units and Acute Care Units, dentro del mismo hospital, por lo que muestra que son unidades diferentes de cuidado. Es posible que hospitales en Sur America y españa no tengan esa unidad y lo más cercano sea la unidad de cuidados intensivos, pero no son las mismas unidades. Gracias

Tomás Cano Binder, CT: Perdón compañero. Los agudos y los intensivos son cuidados diferentes y tienen salas diferentes, a mi entender.

-> Gracias por la aclaración Tomás. Ya he dicho anteriormente que lo de "agudo" no lo entiendo pq para mi hay dolores agudos pero no enfermedades ni enfermos agudos sino graves. De todas formas entiendo tu punto de vista. Gracias.
