  -> Gracias, Cecilia. Saludos...:-)

neutral  Maria Belarra: ¡Hola Hugo!

Saludos y gracias, nuevamente..:-)

advanced practice nurse (apn)
Enfermera Universitaria

Explanation:
This is the title (at least in Chile) for high level nurses; they are usually in charge of a whole floor in a hospital. They deal with patients and their relatives, and monitor the work of all nurses, assistant nurses and orderlies on their floor as well as the dispensary. They are in fact executives.

advanced practice nurse (apn)
(enfermero) especialista en enfermería clínica avanzada

Explanation:
Apparently, an "enfermero especialista en enfermería clínica avanzada" is a nurse who, following a special training course, is capable of making certain clinical decisions such as stating acute states, or diagnosing a chronic illness.

This is quite similar to the role of a ANP (please see the second link):

A nurse practitioner (NP) is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. This allows him or her to provide a broad range of health care services, including:
Taking the patient's history, performing a physical exam, and ordering appropriate laboratory tests and procedures
Diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic diseases
Providing prescriptions and coordinating referrals
Promoting healthy activities in collaboration with the patient

Good luck :-)

Please be aware that the job title varies from one country to another. My answer is valid in Spain, but I really don\'t know in other Spanish-speaking countries..

Muchas gracias y suerte :-)
