Estoy traduciendo la descripción de un stent cola de cochino doble. Sé que se refiere a sutura de microfilamentos no absorbible, pero me falta saber a qué se refiere el término "trailing" en este contexto.

A non-absorbable monofilament trailing suture is provided in the distal curl to assist the physician in stent placement and positioning.

Como tienen esta función, se las conoce como suturas guía o suturas directriz - anterior y posterior, respectivamente.
