De nada, AAG. Podrías usar unión o apareamiento, como señaló Teresa, pero yo repetiría para no crear confusión. Al ser un texto científico, creo es preferible sacrificar el estilo en pos de la claridad.

En el ejemplo, queda claro que es HIBRIDACIÓN, pero lo que pasa es que lo indican de dos formas distintas: TO ANNEAL y TO HYBRIDIZE. Por ello, mi pregunta era si había otra posibilidad, aparte de HIBRIDACIÓN.
