Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / Análisis clínicos | | English term or phrase: HCVRNA, qual REFLEX | El término "HCVRNA, qual REFLEX" aparece como parte de una lista de los análisis clínicos que hace un laboratorio. Entiendo que "HCVRNA, qual" equivale a "ARN del virus de la hepatitis C, qualitativo", pero no estoy segura a qué se refieren con "REFLEX".

Escribí "automática" entre paréntesis porque pienso que puede obviarse.
'Qual' significa "cualitativo". Es decir, el ARN del HCV se detectó mediante una PCR cualitativa, y no cuantitativa; en otras palabras, mediante esta prueba se detectó su presencia, pero no se determinó su concentración exacta.

En cuanto a 'reflex', significa en este caso 'reflex testing'. Este sintagma designa una prueba confirmatoria que se realiza de manera automática cuando el análisis inicial de una muestra ocasiona un resultado predeterminado. Algunas referencias:
