Enuresis o incontinencia urinaria nocturna Explanation: HOpe it helps Enuresis o incontinencia urinaria nocturna Se define como “un evento miccional normal, pero en un lugar y en un momento socialmente inaceptable” (Shortliffe-Stanford University). La incontinencia urinaria nocturna o enuresis nocturna, es más común en varones que en hembras, su etiología es multifactorial, entre los que están lentitud en el desarrollo físico, incremento en la producción de orina por la noche, falta de habilidad en reconocer la plenitud vesical, una vez dormido el niño, y cuadros de ansiedad, pudieran ser los motivadores de dicha incontinencia nocturna, aparte del factor hereditario, retardo en la maduración de los controles vesicales, en ocasiones desórdenes psicológicos, estados de irritación o infección urinaria, anomalías orgánicas o anatómicas podrían ser la causa de la enuresis (Hjalmas 1998). nicturia Explanation: I know you´ve already chosen an answer, but as a nurse I know it is incorrect. Nocturia is not incontinence of urine (urinating without control), but excessive urination at night. Nicturia is the correct translation. nocturia o nicturia Explanation: Nocturia is simply excessive urination at night, it does not necessarily mean incontenence or enuresis (although it could be associated with it), and the proper Spanish translation is the same as the English word. Another optiion is "nicturia", but I must assume that most Spanish physicians will say "nocturia". (I am nephrologist.) |
