Inicialmente te había puesto "especialista en ortodoncia". Me dejé llevar por haber visto "braces" y sé que a menudo tenés traducciones sobre odontología.
Sin embargo al buscar referencias, vi que se trata de gente que se dedica a todo tipo de aparatos de ortopedia: para piernas, hombros, cuello, etc.
La palabra "ortotista" no figura en el Dicc. 2001 de la RAE, por lo que estoy 100% segura de que ortopedista es la correcta.

No estoy muy seguro pero creo que un orthotist es una persona que practica la medicina alternativa y mediante ella recupera dislocaciones, huesos rotos, etc.

No me parece que haya una traducción exacta en castellano, pero mi propuesta no se le parece bastante
