English term or phrase: centrally (in this context)
The limbic system is *centrally* positioned to affect both our bodies and our brains

question: do they mean "estrategicamente" more than "central, en una posición central, etc."?

Spanish translation:central as in middle
Explanation:
Hi Manel :-)

I think they're referring to the central position because the limbic system refers to the 'medial surface' of the lobe, which is the central part.

It would have been termed otherwise in English I think if they had wanted to say 'strategically' - and in any case who would have put it there strategically ;-)?

I thought it might have been God, he-he...I'm so naive....

Glad to hear from you Anne, thought you might be on holiday. I didn't know you were such an expert in neurology.
Anyhow, thanks a lot

central-mente

Explanation:

Mejor utilizar :
"se encuentra en el centro"
"se encuentra en una posición central"

Saludos,

Pilar
