Desprendimiento prematuro de la placenta:

El abrupto placentae es el desprendimiento prematuro de la placenta y ocurre en 1/120 embarazos. Sangrado en la decidua basal ocurre con la separación. La mortalidad tiene un rango desde 20-60% y se estima en 15-25% de muertes perinatales. Clínicamente el paciente se presenta con uno de estos signos: parto pretérmino, sangrado vaginal, dolor abdominal, distress fetal u óbito e irritabilidad uterina. Abrupto placentae puede ser adicionalmente clasificada como retroplacentaria o marginal. La hipertensión materna es vista en 50% de los casos severos de abrupto placentae y es considerada un factor de riesgo.
