Stop loss - protection against deviations in aggregate claims. If claims are above the attachment point the reinsurer will cover the excess up to a specified limit.

2.2.2.- R. de Exceso de Siniestralidad (Stop Loss).- El Asegurador Cedente puede limitar el porcentaje de siniestralidad a su cargo.El Reasegurador asume la siniestralidad que excede del porcentaje previamente establecido, hasta una cuantía determinada, ya sea en tanto por ciento como en valor absoluto.En el primero el Reasegurador cubre cada siniestro considerandolo de forma aislada, en el segundo la cobertura ampara la suma de siniestros durante un periodo determinado.
