English term or phrase: cuddly
Patient: "I had an interesting conversation with my friend Jim last week. He thinks abused children blame themselves because normal children are naturally cuddly, needing touch, and he read that the touch receptors in the brain are especially sensitive when children are young. He thinks these natural needs are why we blame ourselves for however people touched us. What do you think of that?
