Casi siempre existen puntos finales primarios y puntos finales secundarios. Son los parámetros que se tomarán en cuenta y serán evaluados al realizar el estudio.
Un punto final podría ser "eficacia de X droga para reducir el tiempo hasta la progresión de la enfermedad".
