Creo entender que debido a que se esta describiendo las propiedades del sistema CIWS Seaguard de Contraves y sabiendo como funcionan estos sistemas artilleros antimisiles, lanzando rondas de munición de hasta 4200 tiros por minuto en el caso del Goalkeeper holandes, que se trata de algo así como "un chorro de munición" guiado a un blanco en movimiento.

El texto en inglés dice así:

Seaguard was designed as a modular, rather than a unitary 'all in one system'. Thus each module is small and light enough to operate with the necessary dynamic performance to meet the threat in terms of:

-Reaction time
-Shifting target immediately the engaged target is destroyed in a stream attack
-Tracking and engaging targets at or near the zenith
-Tracking and angaging close range targets with horizontal and vertical crossing rates.

Explanation:
Realmente aporto esta respuesta porque "chorro" no me acaba de sonar bien, pero me ha sido encontrar una respuesta plenamente justificable.

No he encontrado referencias en la red ni en mis diccionarios, pero sí he visto emplear "torrente de disparos" en el caso de disparos de armamento convencional.

Ya en una línea menos literal, quizás "ráfaga continua" o alguna forma similar captura la idea de un gran número de proyectiles disparados en torrente.
