I dropped out of high school but I always wanted to be in the MARCHING BAND. I always wanted to be but I never learned to read music so I can't read music. There's no way that I could sit with an instructor or band leader and play along with everyone else so this is fulfilling my MARCHING BAND fantasies for sure.

Explanation:
Me parece que agregar más suena un poco cargado, con lo que dice luego, que no sabe leer música y demás, queda claro que es de esas bandas las que desfilan y las musicales, a las que se refiere. Creo que la economía aquí es lo más apropiado.
