Spanish translation: perdido/ desorientado

English term or phrase: lost
I just can't find the right translation. I was told to just use the past tense of perder (I'm writing a letter) but I don't think that's right. What I want to imply is "I'm lost," or better, "one who is lost" but I just want to sign the letter "lost" so I'm not sure what I would use.

I think the past participle 'perdido' is ok. Desorientado means you are at a loss, don't know what way to go.

"I'm lost": "Estoy perdida"

I would sign "Sin rumbo" (without direction, similar to lost). It is more poetic, and it's also safer ("una perdida" is a "loose woman", to put it in Simon & Schuster's words...)
