English to Spanish translations [PRO]
English term or phrase: Hialeah
The setting is a debate about a pro-castro band playing in Miami.

"Castro is protected by the CIA and this government is pink–that’s why he’s still in power." At that point, a well-spoken Bay of Pigs veteran, Oswaldo F. Hernandez, talks in an affecting way about the pain behind the exile position, before interrupting himself in a self-deprecatory, high-Cuban way: "As exiles, we find your concert insensitive, a provocation. Of course, I am a Cuban man and you are a beautiful woman–so I will listen to you."
Everyone laughs, save for one of those eternally enraged faces of Hialeah–a heavyset woman with a grim hairdo–who interjects bitterly: "You are only doing this to be famous.

El hipódromo de Hialeah

Explanation:
Hialeah is a well-known Florida racetrack. The enraged faces referred to here are those of race track goers whose horses perpetually lose.

Hialeah

Explanation:
This refers to a city in Florida, near Miami. It is an upscale region. This probably means that the woman is from that city. It's the best guess I can come up with.

Hialeah, Fl.

Explanation:

Hialeah

Explanation:
I don't think this refers to the city in Florida. It refers to the name of the heavy set woman who interjects bitterly "you are only doing this to be famous". Therefore, I don't think it needs translating.

Hialeah has no actual translation.

Explanation:
Hialeah is an industrial city North of the city of Miami, in the County of Miami-Dade, Florida. I have no idea why the author speaks about the enraged faces..., etc., but Hialeah is a city with a large Cuban population which have escaped from Castro's self-style totalitarian regime seeking freedom and which describe Hialeah as the city where there is only "lluvia, sol y factorías" (rain, sun and factories). It is obvious that most people from Hialeah, the rest of Miami-Dade and the U.S. will not sympathize with any propaganda agents from Castro's regime who come to the U.S. to try to divide the Cuban exiled community.

de la ciudad de Hialeah

Explanation:

From a population of 1,500 in 1925, Hialeah has grown at a rate faster than most of the ten largest cities in the State of Florida since the 1960’s and holds the rank of Florida’s fifth-largest city, with more than 210,000 residents. The city is also one of the largest employers in Dade County. Predominantly Hispanic, Hialeah residents have assimilated their cultural heritage and traditions into a hard-working, diverse community proud of its ethnicity, as well as its family oriented neighborhoods.
