Zapatillas (de baloncesto) tipo bota or... Explanation: ...bota de baloncesto. That for high tops. In regard to low tops new fashion, well, that's an old timer, they were alrady used in basketball early times, so I reckon (off-the-record) they should be call just "zapatillas" or , to specify a little more "zapatillas cortas" or "zapatillas bajas". Searches didn't get any educated hits. However, the 'solonosotras' (!) link 2 might be interesting as it talks of "botas bajas". There also are "botas cortas"... If a basketball shoe is a "bota" and supposed to be "alta" or "larga", why not "bota corta (de baloncesto)". Boot for thought, cheers :) Reference: http://www.ucm.es/info/especulo/numero4/graffiti.htm Reference: http://www.solonosotras.com/moda/recomendaciones.htm |
