como veis nos encontramos con el conflicto de "input" e "inform".
como mal menor lo he traducido así:
"El cortex cuenta con la información emocionalmente sensitiva que proviene de la amígdala para conformar el tono de su discurso, que de otra forma sería frio, duro y racional"

As you can see, with minor changes and additions, your translation is awfully good, in a very difficult context, as I see it.
