Ayudaría mucho saber de que país es el 'Chief'. 'Chief' puede ser jefe, oficial, edecán superior, etc. 'Staff' es gabinete, comandancia, grupo, oficina, departamento, etc.

Tú estás hablando del 'Chief' de un 'Staff'. Which staff? Whose staff?...the Commander's. De ahí mi respuesta. No hablas del Comandante Supremo (o Comandante en Jefe como también se le dice)

Nota:

Hay países donde el \'Supreme Commander\' o comandante supremo es el comandante en jefe de todas la ramas del ejercito. Por ejemplo, el presidente de un pais puede ser el Comandante supremo. No lo confundas con el Jefe del Comando Conjunto.
