amigo en el mundo. termino aca abajo porque no me entro todo arriba. espero te sirva.
la palabra block en mi pais se dice cuadra, pero eso es de acuerdo al pais.se refiere a los, normalmente, 100 metros que hay entre calle y calle.

como el recién llegado a Ontario


Explanation:
para evitar los localismos referentes a block. Aquí también le decimos cuadra pero a un recién llegado se le llamaría recién llegado a la calle. Sea a donde sea la idea es que es un recién llegado ¿no?
