Spanish translation:Navegador

English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: browser
The context is a software for "parametric feature based solid-modeling"

One of the paragraphs in the text reads as follows:

"Use the Windows-standard browser to view a visual record of the design process, and even edit your design by reordering, mirroring, copying or scaling the features of your model."

Is it translated as Navegador, though we are not in an Internet context?

Note: the sentences between quotes are taken literally from the text I am translating.

Thanks a lot to everybody in advance

NAVEGADOR ó BUSCADOR
Explanation:
Comúnmente traducido como buscador, es más a veces se adjetiva browse al hecho de buscar entre los diferentes drivers a ver en cuál es que está la información buscada.

Hope it helps!!
(También podés usar localizador, pero me gusta Buscador)

Al final me decidí por Navegador, ya que no se trata de buscar nada, sino de pasar por diferentes vistas, ... de un boceto de una pieza.

Gracias

Pere

explorador

Explanation:
This is the word Microsoft uses. "Navegador", as someone said, is for Internet, while "explorador" is also for Internet and for files, and the context you present.

Buscador

Explanation:
Como verbo tiene varias traducciones, como sustantivo ya hay más limitaciones.

Si yo voy a una tienda y me pongo a mirar cosas puedo decir: "I'm just browsing" (Hojeando, vichando, mirando)

Pero "hojeador", "vichador", "mirador" no quedan bien. Buscador parece ser la mejor solución.
