Hola Patricia, la sugerencia de dprussi tiene bastante sentido, pero la palabra "outwear" sí existe y se usa para designar a cosas, especialmente ropa, que dura más que otra. Quizá tu texto se refiere a esto, suerte. En caso de ser outerwear sería mejor llamarla ropa de abrigo: (Clothing, such as hats, coats, and gloves, for use outdoors)
