Training needs to be measured in terms of how skills get developed or enhanced. 'Aptitudes' is not equal to 'skills'. Skills are usually 'gained' through training and work. 'Aptitudes' are just potential skills that need to be developed. Therefore, you have to build on skills not on 'aptitudes', since the later have to be measured through psychometric testing and skills can be measured by results on job performance.
