recibieron un tinte blancuzco (gris)
Explanation:
BLUSHING: The formation of a white or grayish cast in a spirit varnish, shellac or lacquer film during the drying period. This is caused by the partial or total precipitation of the solid ingredients as a result of condensed moisture in the film due to excessive humidity or by improper solvent balance, resulting in the true solvents evaporating first and the diluent or nonsolvent portion evaporating later. The addition of a quantity of slow evaporating true solvent, known as a "blush retarder", usually prevents blushing.

Se usa en el sentido químico, ténico, y como verbo activo (transitivo).

"enrojecido", etc., es el sentido más común, pero es verbo intransitivo y no tiene nada que ver con las químicas.
