Definition:
A device that helps to keep a wireline logging tool away from the center of the borehole. Typical devices are a single bow spring mounted on the outside surface of the logging tool or a set of rubber fingers mounted at the bottom. Some measurements, such as induction logs, respond better when the tool is eccentralized, while others, including acoustic logs, are better when centralized.

Considerando que:

"Excéntrico", en este caso, significa que está fuera del centro del pozo, es decir, apoyado contra la pared del pozo.

y que no existen (¿o si?) los verbos "excentrar" ni "excentralizar", ni el término "excentralizador"

¿de que otra manera podría llamar al dispositivo (ej. fleje) que mantiene a la herramienta apoyada contra la pared del pozo?

Sorry Constanza, no I really did not realize. I was just trying to find backup for excentralizador and ... was not my intention to be repetitive - I was looking to confirm the use of the word because I would have used that same one.
