Estoy corrigiendo una traducción hecha por otra traductora, quien tradujo "aspherical" como "esférica". Pero sospecho que no es correcto.

Ésta es la definición del Webster's: 1 : departing slightly from the spherical form -- used of an optical surface
2 : free from spherical aberration

Sin embargo, "asférico" no aparece en el DRAE. "Aspherical" no aparece en el diccionario de términos técnicos de Collazo. Y en los glosarios de ProZ aparece algunas veces "asférico", pero no encuentro ninguna referencia válida que me indique que el término existe en español.

En resumen, quisiera corroborar si el término "asférico" es correcto.
