One particularly nasty problem light source is fluorescent bulbs. They emit a type of light referred to as “discontinuous”, i.e., a type of light deficient in certain portions of the spectrum, a disadvantage that remains true whether we are talking about the “daylight”, “cool white” or other type of tube.
