English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) / dental imaging devices | | English term or phrase: acquistion | In a manual for an imaging system with which 3D, 2D and other x-ray images (teeth, mouth) of dental patients can be taken, what do you reckon "acquistion" mean.
They use it, it seems to me, to mean "captura", "toma", "obtención", but using it as "adquisición" seems a bit too much. It feels as if this manual was written by no native speaker.
Example:

"This is ... useful for practitioners performing multiple image acquisitions of a same tooth during a same operatory act such...." |
