English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Physics | | English term or phrase: carbon nanotube array | Sorry, I know this is the wrong way around, but I thought I would probably find the answer this way in any case.
What word is used in Spanish for "array" in this context? I have come across a few options (matriz, conjunto, red,...), but would appreciate the opinion of a native speaker/expert as to which would be considered "correct".
Thanks in advance. |

| | matriz de nanotubos de carbono | Explanation: "Carbon nanotube array" usually refers to nanotubes that have been grown in alignment, perpendicular to a substrate like a forest. In this case the correct term in Spanish is "matriz de nanotubos de carbono". "Conjunto" would refer to a grouping of nanotubes, so they are not necessarily aligned or organized in a particular way. "Red" would imply that it is a network, perhaps like a cobweb.
