Explanation:
Me parece que en este contexto "story" se refiere más a "noticia", como "newspaper story", no tanto como a historia o cuento o relato.

Y "bring in", así como lo veo también en contexto, es que los periodistas van a sacar a relucir todo el asunto.

Así por lo menos traduciría yo esos términos.
