English term or phrase: enclosure
In fables, a prince kills dragoons to save his lover; a small mermaid endures endless pains to her body to be able to love her prince for a short while — as she knows that very soon she will dissolve in scum.

Gnomes and sorceresses manipulated human beings; in Heaven, individuals had each centimetre of their potential faults measured, like a tool in the hands of God and the Devil. The poor Guardian Angel on the picture over my bed looked too naïve to protect me as I crossed that dangerous bridge that represented my life. For that, some of my characters seemed perhaps threatened by any wicked finger.

Gradually, it became clearer: I have already conceived a woman that built herself, a boy whose ambiguity was finally respected, and a love that could be fully lived once the partners had become more mature. The world stemmed from a woman's singing, and fear was overcome by the word’s human breath.

However, a grotto was left with its ***enclosure***. Was that an author’s evil wish? Actually, it was because without that the book would lose its charm.

una gruta se dejó cercada, vallada
Explanation:

Explanation:
Una gruta permaneció con su jardín aparte. Tempting? Or,
"con su espacio muy aparte"... "como un recinto" Have your pick...
