Cuando se dice "kick your butt o kick your ass" se habla a nivel competitivo entre dos personas, donde una le puede decir a otra "I'm gonna kick your butt" queriéndole decir que lo va a vencer o le va a ganar o le va a llevar la delantera por mucho. Por ende, "kick a little butt" es decir lo mismo a nivel personal y en menor escala. En este caso la persona no compite con nadie, pero quiere demostrar que es bueno en lo que hace.
