English to Spanish translations [PRO] Poetry & Literature / description of setting | | English term or phrase: where they came to earth | I´m translating an extract of H. E. Bates´ "Alexander" from “Twenty Tales”. I don´t find a good Spanish translation for the expression from above. I mean, I do not get exactly what it refers to. Can you help me , please? Thank you in advance.
The line where the term appears goes like:
"A covey of patridges scurried, screamed, then spread out like a black fan and vanished, the barley ears aving briefly and lightly where they came to earth." |
