"The careful management of contact can have a direct bearing on the succes or otherwise of your placement"
Which I have translated as " El cuidado en la forma de administrar el contacto puede tener una repercusión directa en el éxito o fracaso de su posición" but perhaps it could be improved by someone being more used to this field...
