podemos confiar en que es poco de fiar como narradora // es una narradora muy poco de fiar

Mi primera opción intenta mantener el juego de palabras, pero yo no te lo aconsejo, porque el castellano es mucho menos amigo de estos juegos que el inglés para este tipo de texto. Yo diría una cosa sencilla y clara como: "Gertrude Stein, escibiendo desde la perspectiva... es una narradora muy poco de fiar".
