All I have discovered is that "cognitive flexibility" is not a synonym.
I have my doubts that you'll find an actual translation. Liz has done a lot of research and what she's found are more like paraphrases. I don't think you'll be able to get away from the word 'set'. I googled with 'serie' and found practically nothing, but this is helpful in understanding what it's about:

There are quite a few tests (Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, Cambios) that 'measure' cognitive flexibility and are described in Spanish as 'pruebas/tareas de flexibilización cognitiva', and in English as 'set shifting tests/tasks'. We'd need a specialist to be quite sure. Meanwhile I found this:
