Again, from a list of responsibilities of altar guild members.
Described to me as "The credence tables are small tables used around the church to hold the alms basins, communion elements, flowers. They are found in bigger churches in the front near the altar. They typically do not have much space on the top- usually 12 inches square or sometimes 18 inches. Just a fancy name for small church tables!
